tisane is a cozy tea game, You play as Roi, a traveling tea merchant who can’t speak the same language as their customers. Roi seeks to make a difference by spreading the joys of tea!

They travel to different locations trying to observe the locales they’re in and the people that live there to serve the right kind of tea to their customers. See how tea can connect people even when they can’t speak to each other.

Design Goals:

  • Advancement through repetition.

  • Convey connection with other people through tea.

  • People and Place - Highlighting various people and aspects from non-western sources.

  • Research various tea ceremonies and rituals throughout the world to inform design decisions regarding the game’s central mechanic

  • Conceptualized and wrote the game’s story. Storyboarded cutscenes and implemented story into the game.

  • Programmed the game’s tea making mechanics and fixed bugs as they arose.

  • Created a production plan to ensure an adequate vertical slice. Managed product backlog and wrote game design documentation.
